Google’s Street View Goes Live in Canada

Google Street View `Pegman`

Google’s controversial Street View service went live the other day for about 11 areas of Canada, of which included Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa,  and Toronto.

The service, which is already available in cities in the U.S., the U.K., Spain, Australia, Japan and several other countries, provides close-up, 360-degree views of city streets as they would be seen by someone driving along them. The images are linked to the company’s Google Maps and Google Earth applications.

Google had a hard time launching the service in Canada due to concerns that they were breaking some privacy law, but they got it all sorted out, and I`m glad it`s finally available to the whole public.

Well, I am not happy with Google. They caught me with my garage door open and a huge mess inside.
