I’ve added new stuff!

November 10th, 2007 by Connor McBrine-Ellis | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Yeah, so I’ve added a whole new section to the site!  It’s kinda weird, cause right now, when I click on the links to any of the other pages in the new section it just gives me a 404 not available.  It makes me wonder why that’s happening.  It’s probably just a bit of a delay before the site gets up – I only finished in the last half hour and posted it about ten minutes ago.  Tonight at 12:00 midnight EST, our new super-high-speed internet is gunna be activated, so i’ll wake up in the morning and turn on my computer and activate it.  Google Pages is still in the ‘Google Labs’ testing, and when it comes out of that, I betcha that it’ll compete with Geocities and Freewebs and all of those other free web hosting and online page creator services.  What’s amazing about it is that it doesn’t put any ads on your site, so it’s a completely ad-free site, and the templates are beautiful.  I hope Google puts their full into it an excellent service that is world-renouned for its simplicity and ease of use like Gmail.  Gmail is my mail of choice because of the organization features they have and the complex mail filters they offer.  It is the BEST way to go for free web-mail.  What’s also great is that they offer POP services for those that like to use other programs for reading their email like Incredimail and Outlook Express.

Gmail is a truly wonderful service.

Internet Upgrades

November 8th, 2007 by Connor McBrine-Ellis | 2 Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

My internet is getting upgraded on saturday from like 256 kbps to a blazing fast 16 mbps – that’s 16000 kbps! We got the new router today, and it looks sweet! I’ll post a picture later. Ok, so here’s the story. Like 5 years ago, when we first got Bell Sympatico broadband after living with dial-up on our old Dell OptiPlex Gx110 (yup, it was one of the ‘infamous’ GX lineup :) ), we had the top of the line, the FASTEST internet you could get then. Times had changed, and as our internet service got worse and worse compared to the other internet services, we were still payin the same price! So they were ripping us off. Now, when I called 310-SURF (sympatico’s hotline) I found out we could get blazing fast internet for cheaper than what we were paying for what was once the ‘top of the line’ internet. Oh well.

So I set up the router yesterday, and our service is going to be activated on Saturday. So, we’re only stuck with crap slow internet for two more days.

Lots of Homework and Appointments!

November 7th, 2007 by Connor McBrine-Ellis | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

I’m kinda sad, because today, I have to go to school in the morning, spend 4 periods working, and then leave school JUST before my favorite subject! *moan* :)

I have to have an appointment all afternoon with my mom and my dad will be busy, so there’s no one to take AJ to gymnastics! I hope they find someone because AJ might be upset.

I’m not THAT sad I have to go to the appointment, it’s just that my favorite subject is lunch, and I could just stay home for the morning too. Oh well.

I’m Using Adsense!

November 4th, 2007 by Connor McBrine-Ellis | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Hi everyone, and now that I’m using adsense on my blog I can earn money for the Kunadiuns, and that is great so I can buy instruments with that money. So if you want to help us out, then click on the ads!

Connor

(I’m working on two songs for the Kunadiuns, “Looking Down” and “I’m Coming (Sweet)”)
Our first real album is coming along, and we have the ideas for our songs, but getting them down and recorded seems to be the problem, because we have a seeming ‘lack’ of recording equipment, and we (austin and I) live like 2000000 miles from Craig and Kenneth, Our fellow bandmates. It’s too bad, because If they lived here, then we could get together all the time to brainstorm for songs and stuff, but whatever….

as for the kunadiuns website, It’s down until the summertime because freewebs is not going to host our songs properly, so were switching providers!
